About Me

Dr. Carolyn Goh                   (Beng., MSc., PhD., MBBS)

My academic background is in Engineering. I qualified as a Mechanical Engineer in 2000 from  UCL with a minor in Business Studies from LSE.Thoughout my studies, I have always been interested in ‘how things work’ and more specifically ‘how the human body works’.

This led me to complete a Masters and PhD (The Nervous System and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) in Bioengineering at Imperial College. This degree brought me closer to understanding the human body but did not offer the patient interaction I sought. I then decided to pursue a medical degree. It was during my time at medical school that I learnt about the Bowen Technique and was immediately struck by the baffling and wondrous healing potential of this therapy which led to running a private Bowen clinic alongside completing my medical degree. Having qualified as a doctor I then went into research, allowing me to pursue my interest in Bowen.

Nutrition has always been an area of importance to me. Upon being introduced to the Gut and Psychology Syndrome, I then went on to  train as a practitioner under Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride. I also practice MIER Chelation-a form of very gentle yet highly effective detox.

I find that a combination of proper nutrition, Bowen, detox and lifestyle changes has a greater impact on most, if not all conditions.

My consultations are tailored to the needs of my client. There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to nutrition, detox, lifestyle or Bowen.

I am especially interested in developing and teaching healing protocols using natural remedies to treat chronic conditions such as joint pain, autoimmunity and reducing inflammation in the body.

I currently run a private practice from Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and from Violet Hill Studios in St. Johns Wood, London. I also run health seminars and workshops focusing on gut health, detox and wellness protocols.
